WAIVERS: Any player that is waived, has 48 hours to be claimed.
If claimed: The team that claims the player will also take on the players salary.
If unclaimed: The player will be returned to his original team.
RE-WAIVERS: If a player is placed on waivers by the same team for a second time, the 50% rule will apply.
If claimed: The team that placed the player on waivers (as well as the team that claimed him) will share 50% of the salary for 1 year.
If unclaimed: The player will be returned to his original team and cannot be placed on waivers again for the rest of the season. He will also become an inactive player, meaning he cannot be used and his cap hit will become 0 for the rest of the season. The player will still take up 1 of your roster spots though. The players cap hit and availability will be re-activated once the next season starts.
WAIVERS REVIEW: Every Waiver move will be upheld initially and reviewed. Just to avoid any possible collusion.
CLAIMS/DROPS: Each team may make a maximum of 1 waiver claim/drop per week.
CLAIMING UNSIGNED PLAYERS: Players not signed to a team are unrestricted free agents. This means that you must bid on the player in the Free Agency thread before claiming him (minimum 1M). Just like any free agent, every team has 24 hours to make a higher bid for the player. After 24 hours, if the original teams bid is beaten, they have a choice to match the highest bid or let him sign with the highest bidding team.
RETIRING PLAYERS: Players that retire in the middle of a contract do not have to be waived. They can be released without penalty.
If claimed: The team that claims the player will also take on the players salary.
If unclaimed: The player will be returned to his original team.
