BUYOUTS: Any player may be bought out, unless he is in the final year of his contract. If a player is bought out, his salary will be divided in half and counted as dead cap for every remaining year on the players contract. A player that is bought out becomes an Unrestricted Free Agent. The Buyout Deadline is September 15 at 12:00am (ET).
There is also a max of 1 buyout per year for each team. Manage your team well and this wont be a problem for you.
